Viktoria Löwenthal is an experienced and highly qualified doula and birth preparation instructor, trained with professional midwifes in Sweden in 2008. As a doula and birth partner she has assisted various births, home births as well as in private clinics and public hospitals and therefore she has an extensive knowledge on different birth options in Barcelona. She also runs the popular Baby Café (together with midwife Raquel Faust) in the Barcelona Well Woman Clinic, supporting mothers, fathers and their babies. Viktoria is the founder of Mare Meva, founded in 2008, offering antenatal classes and doula service (pregnancy, birth and postpartum support) in Barcelona. Viktoria speaks English, Spanish, Catalan and Swedish fluently.
BIRTH DOULA SERVICE
I also offer a very flexibel Doula service, with EVERYTHING you might need to feel safe and happy during pregnancy, birth and postbirth. I help you with translation service at doctors’ visits, or finding an English speaking doctor/gynaecologist/midwife. I can also help you to understand the Catalan birth system (private versus public etc.), help you to find pregnancy yoga classes in your neighbourhood, or so to say: to find whatever you need to feel great and relaxed. Of course I also attend births, from the moment you need extra support I will be with you, help you to go to the hospital in the right moment etc. Depending on the hospital/clinic I might also enter with you and your partner and I´ll stay with you until your baby is born and you feel fine. My doula support means this and much more, to help pregnant women to feel fine and relaxed and to have a joyful birth is my aim.
